Research area

Professor Einsiedler’s main research interest is dynamics and equidistribution on homogeneous spaces.

Manfred Einsiedler has been a Professor at the Department of Mathematics since 2009.

He was born in Scheibbs, Austria, in 1973.

He completed a degree in mathematics at the University of Vienna in 1996, where he went on to obtain a PhD in 1999.

He then became a postdoctoral student at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, Great Britain, and from 2001 at Penn State University, USA.

In 2001 he habilitated at the University of Vienna. He has held various positions at the University of Vienna, Washington State University in Seattle, and the Princeton University.

He was appointed as an associate professor at Ohio State University, Columbus, USA in 2006 and a full professor in 2008.
