- Requirements for a semester paper:
- Supervision: In principle, any teaching faculty member at ETH Zurich is authorised to supervise semester papers and Master’s theses in CSE. However, each paper or thesis must be approved by the Director of Studies CSE. Students must apply for approval via the online portal myCSE.
- Register your semester paper or Master’s thesis in myStudies. Registration must take place at least 2 weeks before the start.
- Once your supervisor and the D-MATH study administration have given approval for your thesis, you may begin work on it. You are not permitted to start without approval!
After completing your semester paper or Master’s thesis
- Please submit your thesis to your supervisor by the specified deadline. Discuss the required format (hard copy, PDF, etc.) in advance.
Important: A signed Download declaration of originality (PDF, 160 KB) must be included with your thesis. If the declaration is missing, your grade will not appear in myStudies until you have submitted it. - Please send your thesis, including the declaration of originality as the final page, in the form of a PDF file, to the D-MATH study administration by the submission deadline at the latest. Minor amendments may also be submitted at a later date.
