The following information is intended for students on the Master’s degree programme in Computational Science and Engineering.
All about your studies
The semester paper or Master’s thesis is usually written on a topic within a core course or specialisation.
It is possible to have courses recognised that are not listed in the ETH Zurich Course Catalogue or are not included in your degree programme. You can also apply for recognition of courses at the University of Zurich.

Once the credits specified in the programme regulations have been earned, the Master’s degree studies can be completed and a degree request submitted. After submitting the degree request, students will also receive an invitation to the Master’s degree graduation ceremony.
Further services
Under certain conditions, students may complete part of their study programme at another university.

The Counselling & Coaching Centre (StS) offers a wide range of counselling services as well as many different support services for students. This support is available not only in the face of challenges in studies but also in situations that require additional coordination. The services are free of charge and confidential.
In the Department of Mathematics, many students are assigned to assist with exercise groups as teaching assistants. They may be assigned to lectures offered by the department itself, as well as to service lectures held for other departments.
The department’s library provides study spaces, lockers, reference materials and other services for students.
