The Heinz Hopf Prize of ETH Zurich honours outstanding scientific achievements in the field of pure mathematics. The prize is awarded every two years. The prize winner delivers two Heinz Hopf Lectures.
Nominations for the 2025 Heinz Hopf Prize
Everybody is welcome to submit nominations for the 2025 Heinz Hopf Prize. Nominations are confidential and should not be made known to the nominee. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominations should be submitted no later than 29 November 2024 to be considered for the following year's selection process. Please include the candidate's curriculum vitae and a description of the candidate's work, commenting on its significance and impact.

About the Prize
The Heinz Hopf Prize at ETH Zurich was established thanks to a donation from Dorothee and Alfred Aeppli. The CHF 30,000 award honours outstanding scientific achievements in the field of pure mathematics. The prize is awarded every two years on the occasion of the Heinz Hopf Lectures, which already have a long-standing tradition at ETH Zurich. The lectures are given by the laureates.
