ETH Medals for Matthias Kirchner and Jana Janková
The Department warmly congratulates Dr Matthias Kirchner and Dr Jana Janková who were awarded an ETH Medal for their outstanding doctoral theses.
Matthias Kirchner has received the ETH Medal for his doctoal thesis enttiteld: "Perspectives on Hawkes processes". He was a former doctoral student at RiskLab Switzerland and winner of the 2018 Walter Saxer Prize.
Jana Janková has received the ETH Medal for her doctoal thesis enttiteld: "Asymptotic inference in sparse high-dimensional models". She was a former doctoral student at the Seminar of Statistics.
