Three doctoral students honoured with ETH Medals

Matija Bucić has received the ETH Medal for his doctoral thesis entitled: Local to global phenomenon and other topics in probabilistic and extremal combinatorics. He was a doctoral student of Benjamin Sudakov in the Data, Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization group.

Erik Orvehed Hiltunen has received the ETH Medal for his doctoral thesis entitled: Asymptotic analysis of high-contrast subwavelength resonator structures. He was a former doctoral student of Habib Ammari at the Seminar of Applied Mathematics.

Samuel Lanthaler has received the ETH Medal for his doctoral thesis entitled: Computation and analysis of statistical solutions of the incompressible Euler equations. He was a doctoral student of Siddhartha Mishra and is now a lecturer at the Seminar for Applied Mathematics.
