Robert Gantner: 2017 BGCE Student Paper Prize

The Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering (BGCE) has awarded the 2017 Student Paper Prize to Robert Gantner for his outstanding work in computational science and engineering.

The prize was awarded at the annual SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering in Atlanta, Georgia, where eight finalists were invited to present their work at the Student Prize Minisymposium. Robert Gantner's contribution on "Quasi-Monte Carlo uncertainty quantification for partial differential equations with random input" was selected as the winning entry. He has been a doctoral student under the supervision of Professor Christoph Schwab at the Seminar for Applied Mathematics since April 2013.
