We are delighted to annouce that Professor Arnulf Jentzen is the winner of the 2018 Joseph F. Traub Information-Based Complexity Young Researcher Award.

external pageArnulf Jentzen, is professor at the Seminar for Applied Mathematics (SAM). He has received the prize for his "significant contributions to information-based complexity". 

The Joseph F. Traub Young Researcher Award is given to young researchers who have not yet reached their 35th birthday in the year of the award. The Award will be presented at the 12th International Conference on Monte Carlo Methods and Applications from 8–12 July 2019 in Sydney, Australia.

The award committee consisted of the former winners, Mario Ullrich (2015), Mario Hefter (2016), Takashi Goda (2017), Larisa Yaroslavtseva (2017), and the editors Henryk Woźniakowski and Erich Novak.
