Mario Schulz successfully passed his oral doctoral thesis examination entitled: "Yamabe flow on noncompact manifolds". Congratulations!  

Can mathematics be communicated without words and symbols, for example in the form of a three-dimensional object? This was the challenge set for school students in the Space Competition run by the Department of Mathematics.

We are very pleased to announce, that Professor Ralf Hiptmair has been invited to speak at this year’s Aziz Lecture at the University of Maryland.  

We warmly welcome our new faculty member, Professor Mikaela Iacobelli. She was appointed by the ETH Board in March 2019.
