Abstract Consider a closed Riemannian manifold $M$. The growth of the number of geodesics between non-conjugate points $p,q \in M$ and lower bounds for the topological entropy of the geodesic flow have been much studied, and generalizations of these results to Reeb chords in spherizations and to the topological entropy of Reeb flows have been recently obtained by using Floer homology. These results are mostly for manifolds $M$ of finite type (meaning that the universal cover of $M$ is homotopy equivalent to a finite complex), and the methods are geometric and topological. Here, we consider manifolds of non-finite type, and use algebraic arguments to show that the number of Reeb chords between non-conjugate fibers grows in time at least like $e^{\sqrt t}$, at that the intermediate entropy of any Reeb flow is at least $\frac 12$. Abstract Joint work with Alberto Abbondandolo and Alexandru Oancea. Rabinowitz Floer homology (RFH) is the Floer theory associated to the Rabinowitz action functional. One can think of this functional as a Lagrange multiplier functional of the unperturbed action functional of classical mechanics. Its critical points are closed orbits of arbitrary period but with fixed energy. This fixed energy problem can be transformed into a fixed period problem on an enlarged phase space. This provides a way to see RFH as a "standard" Hamiltonian Floer theory, and allows one to treat RFH on an equal footing to other related Floer theories. In this talk we explain how this is done and discuss several applications.

Abstract The main subject of the talk is a strong relation between the symplectic embedding problem, and the existence of symplectic curves with prescribed singularities. The problem of symplectic embeddings can be roughly described as follows: fix a domain of reference D, equipped with a symplectic structure (typically a domain of a linear symplectic space), and try to probe symplectic manifolds by asking whether and how D can embed into it. On the other side of the picture, the question is a symplectic generalization of a very classical problem in algebraic geometry: compute the minimal degree of a plane curve with a prescribed set of singularities. When combined with a technique of "singular inflation" (work with D. McDuff), this relation leads to various interesting consquences on both sides, some of which are already well-known (works of McDuff on packings by ellipsoids and many followers). I will present new applications, for instance a generalization of a result by Biran: any 4-dimensional closed symplectic manifold has the packing stability (with O. Buse and R. Hind).

Abstract We will prove that if a closed oriented manifold K admits an exact Lagrangian immersion into even-complex-dimensional Euclidean space with one transverse positive double point and no other singularities, then K is diffeomorphic to the standard sphere. Abstract I will discuss inverse problems on a closed Riemannian manifold whose geodesic flow is Anosov. More specifically, I will try to establish spectral rigidity in 2D (a problem that has been open for some time) and surjectivity results for the adjoint of the geodesic ray transform. These surjectivity results imply the existence of many geometric distributions invariant under the geodesic flow and play a key role to prove spectral rigidity. This is joint work with Mikko Salo and Gunther Uhlmann.
