Abstract A Calabi-Yau category is an A_infinity category with a cyclically invariant inner product on the Hom-space. According to Kontsevich and Costello, an open topological conformal field theory (TCFT) is homotopy equivalent to a Calabi-Yau category, and its Hochschild cohomology is a closed TCFT. In this talk, we consider the cyclic cohomology of a Calabi-Yau category, which may be viewed an equivariant closed TCFT, and naturally endows an involutive Lie bialgebra structure. We will discuss examples of such Lie bialgebra in Fukaya category and in noncommutative symplectic/Poisson geometry. If time permits, we will discuss the role of cyclic operator in B-model.

Titel Shifted symplectic structures
Referent:in, Affiliation Dr. Bertrand Toën, Université de Montpellier 2, France
Datum, Zeit 1. März 2012, 15:15-16:15
Ort HG G 43
Abstract This is a report on a joint work (in progress) with Pantev, Vaquie and Vezzosi. After some reminders on derived algebraic geometry, I will present the notion of shifted symplectic structures, as well as several basic examples. I will state existence results: mapping spaces towards a symplectic targets, classifying spaces of reductive groups, Lagrangian intersections, and use them to construct many examples of (derived) moduli spaces endowed with shifted symplectic forms. In a second part, I will explain what "Quantization" means in the shifted context. The general theory will be illustrated by the particular examples of moduli of sheaves on oriented manifolds, in dimension 2, 3 and higher.

Abstract Simplicial integration of Lie and L-infinity algebras provides a natural refinement of classical Chern-Simons theory to a morphism of (higher) stacks. In particular, Brylinski-McLaughlin formulas for differential characteristic classes are naturally recovered within this framework. Joint work with Urs Schreiber and Jim Stasheff.

Titel Choptuik's critical spacetime exists
Referent:in, Affiliation Michael Reiterer, ETH
Datum, Zeit 22. März 2012, 15:15-16:15
Ort HG G 43
Abstract About twenty years ago, Choptuik studied numerically the gravitational collapse (Einstein field equations) of a massless scalar field in spherical symmetry, and found strong evidence for a universal, self-similar solution at the threshold of black hole formation. We give a rigorous, computer assisted proof of the existence of Choptuik's spacetime, and show that it is real analytic. This is joint work with E. Trubowitz.

Titel Generalized Dehn twists on surfaces
Referent:in, Affiliation Vladimir Turaev, Indiana University
Datum, Zeit 10. Mai 2012, 15:15-16:15
Ort HG G 43
Abstract Dehn twists are automorphisms of surfaces associated with simple loops on surfaces. Kawazumi and Kuno observed that an algebraic version of these automorphisms can be defined for arbitrary (not necessarily simple) loops on surfaces. I will discuss a definition of these generalized Dehn twists based on Fox pairings in group algebras.

Abstract The algebraic structures that lead to the integrability of quantum integrable models are given by quantum groups (for models on a line or on a circle) and by coideal algebras (for models on a segment or on a half-line).Quantum groups can be constructed from the quantification of Universal enveloping Lie algebras. This procedure, introduced by Drinfel'd in 1985, uses the notion of bialgebras or equivalently of Manin triples. In a recent paper, (arxiv:1202.2312 in collaboration with N. Crampé) we introduced the notion of Manin triples twist and gave a procedure to construct coideal algebras from Universal enveloping Lie sub-algebras. We will review Drinfel'd quantification procedure and present our quantification procedure to obtain coideal algebras. Some applications to quantum integrable models will be discussed.

Referent:in, Affiliation Alexis Virelizier, Université de Montpellier
Datum, Zeit 31. Mai 2012, 15:15-16:15
Ort HG G 43
Abstract Hopf monads generalize Hopf algebras to a non-braided setting, that is, to arbitrary monoidal categories. The initial motivation to introduce the notion of Hopf monad was to understand the Drinfeld-Joyal-Street categorical center in Hopf algebraic terms. Such a description is useful for comparing the Turaev-Viro and Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants of 3-manifolds.

Abstract We establish an explicit equivalence between the two star products on the symmetric algebra S(g) of a finite-dimensional Lie algebra g over a field K containing C associated with the standard angular propagator and the logarithmic one: the differential operator of infinite order with constant coefficients realizing the equivalence is related to the incarnation of the Grothendieck-Teichmueller group considered by Kontsevich.

Abstract The caloron correspondence first appeared in the study of periodic instantons in the late 1980's. The underlying geometric transform however turns out to be of independent interest and admits more sophisticated generalizations. In this talk I will explain how this transform works and how it can be used to develop Chern-Weil theory and differential characters for certain infinite rank bundles.
