Nonlinear Dispersive Equations

June 6 to 10, 2011

Organisers: Pierre Germain (NYU), Michael Struwe (ETH Zürich)

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on various aspects of nonlinear dispersive equations.

The central questions which will be discussed are:
- Local and global well-posedness (including regularity, uniqueness)
- Description of blow up
- Dynamical behaviour: scattering, stability of coherent states

The talks will in particular focus on:
- The nonlinear wave and Schrödinger equations
- The Einstein equation
- The water wave equation
