From September 24 - 28, 2012, the Mathematical Research Institute at ETH Zurich organizes a conference to celebrate, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, the many scientific achievements of Freddy Delbaen. Delbaen's work has had a significant and lasting impact on several areas of mathematics, ranging from functional analysis and probability theory to mathematical finance and actuarial science. The invited speakers at the conference are leaders in those fields and include many of Freddy Delbaen's former students and numerous co-authors.
