Overview of content
- Looking for articles
- Bibliographic databases
- Research in MathSciNet and zbMATH
- Comparison of databases and Google Scholar
- Exporting citations
Brief description
New research results that are to be distributed rapidly are published in scientific articles. It is therefore important to know how to look for these articles when writing a scientific thesis. This can sometimes be difficult as articles may appear as part of a journal, a conference report or a collection of essays rather than on their own. The best tools for comprehensive and successful research are specialist databases. When it comes to mathematical literature, the two most important databases are MathSciNet and zbMATH.
The training session will cover how to carry out research in these two databases and how to export data sets from these two databases for citing in scientific theses.
