Pólya Prize
The Pólya Prize was established in 1977 thanks to a donation by Stella and George Pólya. It is awarded annually and honours outstanding graduates of the degree programmes in mathematics and physics. The prize winners receive a copy of George Pólya's book "Mathematics and plausible reasoning".
George Pólya (1887-1985) was a Hungarian mathematician and professor of mathematics at ETH Zurich from 1914 to 1940 (History).
